Aspen just turned 3 in August. She is a very sweet, gentle, and affectionate girl! She was returned to us due to some peeing issues. She didn't like the dog very much, far too rambunctious for her taste, and was peeing all over the new baby's stuff. She did fine with their cat.
Aspen is on daily medication (which she takes very well and is quite inexpensive) because she has kidney damage due to being fed kibble and not drinking enough water. She must be fed wet food (currently on raw and eating well) If she is not fed wet food she gets crystals and uti's which are both painful for her and cause inappropriate peeing.
She would do well in a home without young or very loud/rambunctious children and no dogs. She may be okay with another cat after a slow transition.
She like to raise her bum when peeing, so needs a very tall litter box (I'll be trying her with a covered litter box to see if that's an option). She will only use a clumping clay litter, or pretty litter, although I believe she has used the wood pellets as well.
Aspen is still periodically peeing inappropriately, I'm not sure the cause at this point. I currently have her in with one of my studs for companionship, they are getting along well (after a transition).
Aspen is up to date on vaccines, is microchipped, and was spayed as a kitten.
